Compak South Africa ("Compak SA", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 ("POPIA"). 1. Information we collect

Identity & contact: full name, ID number (for membership verification), email, phone number, postal address.
Membership & shooting data: club affiliation, FITASC category, competition entries, scores and rankings.
Account data: login credentials (hashed), profile photo, preferences.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed (via cookies and analytics).

2. Why we process your information

To administer your membership and verify eligibility for FITASC competitions.
To publish results, rankings and event entries to members and the public.
To communicate event news, results, and important notices.
To improve the website and member portal.
To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Lawful basis

We process personal information on the basis of (a) your consent when you join or subscribe, (b) the contract of membership, (c) our legitimate interest in running the federation, and (d) compliance with the law.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with affiliated clubs, FITASC (Paris), and service providers (hosting, email, analytics) under written agreement and only to the extent necessary.

5. Retention

We retain membership and competition records for as long as you are a member and for up to seven (7) years thereafter for historical and statutory purposes.

6. Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Request correction or deletion of your information.
Object to processing for direct marketing.
Withdraw consent at any time.
Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted database storage, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews to safeguard your data.
